Lace-Up will be a direct-to-consumer company, according to a report by Variety. The company will have an online store in which customers can buy Armstrong's clothing, shoes, and accessories. With the purchase, Armstrong will become the first minority owner of Lace-Up, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal. Armstrong also purchased the rights to the book "Armstrong: My Life" by journalist Mark F. Steyn, according to a report by CNNMoney.
